Stylish Minnesotan Headband

Button-on Crochet Headband with Scalloped edge using Caron Simply Soft Yarn.

As you are all aware, I live in Minnesota. I’m sure you have heard (if you are not from this beautiful state) that it gets super duper cold here. Well, it does. It really, really does. Especially in January.

Now, this may be one of the reasons I started crocheting. Ok…it is definitely one of the reasons I started crocheting. We have to stay warm, don’t we?!

I remember being a little girl and bundling up in all of the knitted scarves, mittens, and hats my mom made me and walking to school with my brothers. Sometimes I was so bundled up that I couldn’t see. Then my eyelashes and nose would freeze onto my hat and scarf. Man, that was the worst!

Anyway, the worst part of being bundled up in all that winter apparel, believe it or not, wasn’t the icy eyelashes and nose. It was that whenever I took off my warm hat, my hair would stick straight up as though I had just used a fork to clean out a light socket. My mom came up with a good solution for that: she made me a headband!

So, following in my mother’s footsteps, here I am, making a headband. But this isn’t just any headband, this is a beautiful and stylish headband.

I added a very pretty scalloped edging to add some feminine charm. It is also a button-on headband, so you don’t have to worry about the frizz involved with dragging something against your head. Great plus, right?

So enjoy a frizz free rest of your winter. And remember to stay cute!
