Please tell me I’m not the only one who loves baby shoes and booties? Anytime I see a pair of newborn booties, I think about when my girls were so tiny and how I get so see tiny feet like those in just a few months. I fall to pieces. They are so cute!
Well, since it’s summer, I decided to make some fashion sandals in case I have a baby girl (again). These sandals use the same stitch that I used for my Spring Lavender Dishcloth pattern a while back. I love the lemon peel stitch so much, I just had to use it again!
The lemon peel stitch is basically working sc and dc every other stitch, so it’s very simple, but gives such a beautiful texture. Since the stitching is so easy, the Lemon Peel Baby Sandals are pretty quick to work up and will definitely make you swoon when you see them on a sweet baby girl’s little feet.
Instead of using buttons, I used some faux pearls that I had leftover from making earrings and necklaces for my bride’s maids. I got married 4 years ago, btw…so yeah.
So enjoy this pretty little pattern! Happy Crocheting!
