Two Sites You Need When Buying Yarn Online

As a stay-at-home mom to three very energetic little girls, leaving the house to shop isn’t the easiest thing to do. This is why I do a lot of shopping online. Whether it be Joann’s, Michael’s, or Amazon, believe me, I’ve ordered yarn, hooks, and tons of other crafty items.

So if you are anything like me, you most likely do the same. But I’m telling you right now that you are wasting money if you aren’t using either Ebates or Honey. Seriously, these are incredibly important when buying almost anything online!

Ebates and Honey work in similar, yet different ways. Let’s start with Ebates.

Why use Ebates?

Ebates is a website that gives cash back to shoppers when they shop at different stores through their links. All it takes to use Ebates is signing up with your e-mail. Not only is it free, but you get $10 just for signing up! They don’t spam your inbox, but rather give you great cash back opportunities at tons of different stores.

After signing up for Ebates, you can either follow the link to your favorite store or install the button in your toolbar, so you will receive reminders from Ebates while you shop. This has saved me a lot of money.

So far, I have made close to $100 through Ebates by buying things I would have bought anyway. I’m not kidding. Usually I get about 2-6% back on purchases, which really adds up. Although it doesn’t work for craft items on Amazon, you can save tons at Joann’s and Michael’s and plenty of other stores online.

But that’s really not all. Once you sign up and start shopping, you can refer friends and earn $15 per referral once they make their first purchase! So, if you have 10 friends who sign up and make purchases, you get $150! I think we all could buy TONS of yarn with that kind of money, right?!

Why use Honey?

Honey is a website very similar to Ebates, but specializes more so in finding the best deals it can for you. Once you sign up and install the button for your toolbar, Honey will find all the coupons that can be used on your purchases.

Once you get to the checkout of your favorite store, a cool little popup will tell you to find the best deal. Once you click the button in the popup, you will be given the absolute best deal possible! Talk about awesome!

In fact, one of my favorite features that Honey has is on Amazon. When you see something on Amazon that fluctuates in price, Honey will allow you to get notified if it goes below a certain price. This is how I got my Clover Crochet Hooks at such an awesome price!

While you shop with Honey, you also get something called “Honey Gold.” Honey Gold are points that you receive from making purchases online. 100 Gold is equal to $1.00. Once you have 1,000 Gold, you can redeem it for a gift card at a qualifying shop of your choice.

Another great benefit of Honey is Honey Travel. Whenever you use coupons through Honey, you are given HoneyKeys, which will allow you to unlock access to exclusive hotel rates. So if you love to travel, this is definitely a huge benefit!

And that is not all. Oh, no, that is not all. (Name that book!) Just like Ebates, Honey has a benefit where you can refer a friend and earn $5 once they make a qualifying purchase.

So, let’s break this all down. If you referred 10 friends to Ebates and 10 friends to Honey and they all used both of these websites while shopping online, you would get $200!! It’s so worth it, especially since you are saving tons of money AND sharing these kinds of savings with your family and friends.

Now go ahead and sign up for Ebates and Honey. Then go to Joanns.com, Michaels.com, or any other awesome craft store website you love and buy yarn. Then make a loved one something cute with all the yarn you got at a great price! It’s the best way to crochet!

Happy Crocheting!
