Well, the time has come for me to announce the Felix and Fiona Fox Crochet Along! I hope you’re as excited as I am!
The CAL will be starting Friday, March 16th! YAY!!!!
So what is a CAL? CAL is short for Crochet Along and it is so fun. Every week, I will be posting a new part of the Fox patterns on my blog and my YouTube page. You can choose between Felix or Fiona, or you can do both! It’s totally up to you! If you would like to join the crochet along, you can sign up at the top or bottom of the page for my newsletter and join my Facebook group, so you can share your progress and see other’s as well!
If you’re wondering what this costs, I have great news! This CAL is free, aside from any yarn that you need to buy. Now on to the supply list for the Felix & Fiona Fox Crochet Along:
You will be using Lion Brand Yarn in Vanna’s Choice. (This list is for one fox. If you are making 2 foxes, you only need to get two skeins of Terracotta instead of one. You will have enough of the rest of the yarn for two foxes.)
- 1 skein in Terracotta (burnt orange)
- (less than) 1 skein in Taupe
- (less than) 1 skein in White
- 1 skein in Colonial Blue
- 4mm (G) crochet hook
- 2 – 10mm black plastic safety eyes
- Black embroidery thread
- scissors
- yarn needle
- 2 10 mm buttons
- sewing needle and thread
- Poly-fil
- stitch marker
You can definitely use a different yarn from Vanna’s Choice, but if you do, make sure the weight is 4. If you have the proper weight in the proper colors, but it seems to be thinner, feel free to use a 3.75mm (F) crochet hook instead, so you have a tighter stitching. It will make your fox smaller, but it will also keep the stitches tight.
Felix and Fiona are both 11 inches tall from bottom of feet to top of ears.
Every Friday starting on March 16th, I will be releasing a new section of the Felix and Fiona Fox pattern. Here is the schedule:
March 16th: Legs and bottom of body.
March 23rd: Rest of Body and Head.
March 30th: Nose, ears, tail, and arms.
April 6th: Overalls for Felix and Dress for Fiona. (2 separate videos)
