Hi Crochet Friend!
Have you ever gotten super annoyed when you see a project and it has 100 chains? And all you can think is, “I hate chaining!”? Well, the single crochet foundation chain solves this problem!
The single crochet foundation chain eliminates the need to chain and then work into said chain. Instead, it give you the chain and the first row of single crochets are done in one row! Needless to say, it is AWESOME!
So to help you with this awesome technique, I made a video that shows you exactly how to crochet the single crochet foundation chain. You can watch it below.

Single Crochet Foundation Chain
Materials Used for Tutorial:
Written Pattern:
Ch 3,
1. Insert hook into side and back loops of the 3rd chain from hook, yarn over, pull through. (2 loops on hook)
2. Yarn over, pull through one loop on hook (2 loops on hook)
3. Yarn over, pull through both loops on hook (1 loop on hook) {1 single crochet|
4. Insert hook into back of previous single crochet, yarn over, pull through (2 loops on hook)
5, Yarn over, pull through one loop on hook, (2 loops on hook)
6. Yarn over, pull through both loops on hook (1 loop on hook) {2 single crochets}
7. Repeat 4-6 until desired length.
