Hi crochet friend!
Today marks the last day of the Creation Quiet Book CAL. It has been so fun seeing everyone’s beautiful work! Thank you for all who participated!
The last day will be surface crocheting or embroidering words on the pages of the quiet book, and then slip stitching and sewing the book together! YAY!!
So you can follow the directions below for how to surface crochet, or you can embroider the words onto your pages. Have fun!
Materials used in Tutorial:
-green medium weight yarn
-5 mm (H) crochet hook
Stitches:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
How to:
- Make a slip knot.
- Insert hook into spot you want to start on page.
- Put slip knot onto hook after it has been inserted into page.
- While holding the yarn on back, pull loop through to front.
- Insert hook into next stitch space, yarn over, and pull through.
- Slip stitch yarn from back to front to make letters.
Continue making letters.
Start over with every new letter, unless you are writing in cursive.
Continue by assembling book and slip stitching pages together back to back.
Then sew the binding together in order.
